قرط ḳurt̤ A (Chald. from قرط ḳarat̤a, Aram. Chald. To cut, to amputate) s. m. 1. A piece, a little, a mouthful. 2. An earring.

قيامت ḳiyāmat A s. f. 1. The general resurrec- tion, the last day. 2. (met.) Calamity, excess. 3. Excessively great, excessive, extremely. قيامت کرنا ḳiyāmat karnā, 1. To oppress. 2. To do any thing wonderful.

قشقه ḳashḳa A s. m. A mark made by the Hin- dūs on the forehead with sandal, &c.: see ؟يکا ṭīkā. قشقه دينا ḳashḳa denā, To put the ḳashḳa on the forehead.

قرب ḳurb A (Heb. ) s. m. Propinquity, proximity, nearness, vicinity, adjacency; kin- dred, relationship.

قبه ḳubba A (from قبّ) s. m. A vault, an arch, a dome, a cupola; (hence) alcove.

قمري ḳumrī A s. f. A turtledove. ¶ ḳamar-ī, adj. Belonging to the moon.

قرمز ḳirmiz A s. m. Crimson, cochineal. (Hence, Chermes or Kermes).

قـﮩر ḳahr A s. m. Force, severity, chastisement, rage, fury, indignation, vengeance, judgment, calamity. قـﮩر قيامت ḳahr-ḳiyāmat, Great dis- turbance or commotion (is applied both in pane- gyrick and satire).
