عقلا uﻌḳalā A adj. plur. (of عاقل) Wise, prudent. ¶ aﻌḳlaṉ, adv. Reasonably. A.P. عقلمند aﻌḳl-mand, adj. Wise, intelligent. A.P. عقلمندي aﻌḳl-mand-ī, s. f. Intelligence. A.S̱. عقلونتا aﻌḳl-wantā, adj. (dakh.) Wise.

عقلي aﻌḳl-ī A adj. Reasonable, rational, relating to intellect, intellectual.

عقوبت uﻌḳūbat A (from عقب) s. f. Punishment, torment, chastisement, torture.

عقول aﻌḳūl A adj. Intelligent. ¶ uﻌḳūl, s. plur. (of عقل) Intellects, wisdoms.

عقيدت aﻌḳīdat A s. f. (from عقد) Faith, belief, a fundamental article of religion, tenet.

Plur. معقولات maﻌḳūlāt, Probabilities, words or things consistent with reason. معقول بين maﻌ- ḳūl-bīn, Judicious, reasonable. معقول گو maﻌ- ḳūl-go, Speaking properly, conversable. معقول گوئي maﻌḳūl-go-ī, s. f. Pertinent or proper speaking.
