عرصه aﻌrṣa A (orig. in Heb. To break) s. m. Area, space (either of time or of place), a plain, time, while, interval.

عنوان uﻌnwān A or iﻌnwān (from عنن To come be- fore, to present oneʼs self) s. m. 1. The title of a book. 2. That whereby any thing is known. 3. That which is understood by any thing. 4. Mode, manner.

علل iﻌlal A s. plur. (of علت) Infirmities, pre- tences, &c.

علما uﻌlamā A s. plur. (of عالم āﻌlim) The learned.

عفت iﻌffat A (from عفّ) s. f. Purity, chastity, continence, virtue, abstinence, modesty.

علق aﻌlaḳ A s. m. Hanging, suspending, ad- hering, attachment, love, affection.

عرضي aﻌrẓ-ī A s. f. A representation, memorial, petition, letter (from an inferiour).
