وراثت wirās̤at A (from ورث Heb. ) s. f. He- ritage, heirship.

ويشنو वैष्णव vaish̤ṇav S 1. adj. Relating or be- longing to Vish̤ṇu. 2. s. m. A sectary or fol- lower of Vish̤ṇu.

وسمه wasma A (from وسم) s. m. The leaves of woad or indigo (with an extract from which the natives stain their beards, cloths, &c.). وسمه پوش wasma-posh, Dressed in cloths stained with wasma. وسمه دار wasma-dār, Stained with wasma.

وصي waṣī A (from وصي) s. m. An executor, ad- ministrator (of a will), preceptor.

واقي wāḳe A. s. (dakh.) for واقعي sing. inflect. or plur. of واقعه wāḳiʼaﻌ, q. v.

وزارت wizārat A (from وزر Heb. ) s. f. 1. The dignity of wazīr. 2. The office of prime minister or grand vizir; ministry.

وضيع waẓīﻌ A (from وضع) 1. adj. Ignoble, base, plebeian, low. 2. s. A deposit, a trust, any thing committed to the care of another. شريف و وضيع sharīf-o-waẓīﻌ, Nobles and plebeians.

وداع widāﻌ A (prop. wadāﻌ from ودع) s. m. Fare- well, adieu, bidding farewell. وداع کرنا widāﻌ karnā, To bid farewell or adieu, to dismiss. A. P. وداعي widāʼīﻌ, adj. Bidding farewell (a person).
