وجيه wajīh A (from وجه) adj. Of a good counte- nance or appearance, respectable.

ورخرچي war-ḵẖarch-ī A. s. f. Spending profusely, extravagance, prodigality.

ولي walī A s. m. 1. A prince, lord, master, friend, friend of God, saint. 2. A servant, a slave. ولي عہد walī-aﻌhd, 1. An heir. 2. A locum tenens, vicegerent. ولي عہدي walī-aﻌhd-ī, 1. Heritage, the state of being an heir apparent. 2. Deputyship. ولي کهنگر walī-khangar, s. m. An assistant, protector. ولي نعمت walī-niﻌmat, A title of respect by which a father is addressed, patron, benefactor.

واجب wājib A (part. act. of وجب) adj. Neces- sary, incumbent, obligatory, expedient, proper, worthy, convenient, fit, meet, just, reasonable.

واشده wā-shuda P (part. pass. of واشدن) adj. Opened, expanded, vanished, dispersed.

وان वान् wān S (particle in compos.) Possessing, endowed with, &c. as, دهن وان धनवान् dhan-wān, Possessing wealth, rich.

وصول wuṣūl A (from وصل) s. m. Arrival, conjunc- tion, acquisition or enjoyment (of any thing desired). وصول کرنا wuṣūl karnā, To collect. وصول هونا wuṣūl honā, To get, to be arrived.

وادي wādī A (from ودي or rather Heb. To divide, spread, expand) s. f. 1. A valley, vale, any low ground. 2. The channel of a river. 3. A river. 4. A desert.
