واعظ wāʼiﻌz̤ A (part. act. of وعظ Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. A monitor, a preacher, admonisher, an adviser.

واپس wā-pas P adv. Behind, afterward, then, again, back, returning. واپس دينا يا کرنا wāpas- -denā, or -karnā, To return, to give back. واپس رکهنا wāpas rakhnā, To detain, to retard.
