ووهي wo-hī H adv. See ونہين wuṅhīṅ.

وسيٿهہ wasīṭh H s. m. Agent, ambassadour.

ورطه wart̤a A (from ورط Heb. ) s. m. A la- byrinth, maze, whirlpool, embarrassment, any situation of danger and difficulty.

وزان wazzān A (from وزن) s. A great weigher, a great composer of verses.

وارن वारण wāraṇ S s. m. Prohibition, defence.

واعظ wāʼiﻌz̤ A (part. act. of وعظ Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. A monitor, a preacher, admonisher, an adviser.

وضو waẓū A prop. wuẓū (from وضأ or وضؤ) s. m. Ablution (performed before prayer; and, it consists in cleaning the teeth, washing first the hands, then the mouth inside, then throwing water on the forehead, washing the whole face, the arms, and lastly the feet).

ونہين winheṅ H pron. 3d pers. plur. (same as انہين unheṅ) Them, those, to them, &c.

وسطي wasat̤-ī A. adj. Middling, neither long nor short pronunciation.

وطد wat̤id A adj. Firm, solid, confirmed, cor- roborated.
