وضاعت waẓāʼaﻌt A (from وضع) s. f. Humility, humiliation.

ولد walad A (Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. A son, offspring. ولد الزنا waladu-z-zinā, 1. A son of a whore, illegitimate. 2. An earthworm.

ورع waraﻌ A (Heb. and Chald. ) s. m. f. Ti- midity, apprehensiveness of doing wrong, fear of God, temperance, continence. P. H. ورغلانا warg̠ẖalānnā (from ورغلانيدن) v. a. To deceive, inveigle, decoy, seduce, tempt, actuate, provoke, exasperate.

واشد wā-shud P s. f. Opening, expansion, disper- sion or vanishing (of sorrow, &c.), deliverance.

واچهڙي wāchhiṛe H s. m. plur. Praising, ap- plauding; bravo! well done! aha!

وضو waẓū A prop. wuẓū (from وضأ or وضؤ) s. m. Ablution (performed before prayer; and, it consists in cleaning the teeth, washing first the hands, then the mouth inside, then throwing water on the forehead, washing the whole face, the arms, and lastly the feet).
