قشون ḳushūn T s. A large body of troops, an army.

قرعه ḳurʼaﻌ A (from قرع Heb. To split, to tear, to break, to knock) s. m. 1. A lot (es- pecially, one cast in the manner of the Arabs, by shooting arrows). 2. A wager, wagering, drawing lots, seeking to learn oneʼs fortune by opening a book, &c.

قدرتي ḳudrat-ī A. adj. Of omnipotence, not made or produced by man. قدرتي زنگ ḳudrat-ī-rang, 1. White. 2. Natural colour (not stained or died). A. P. قدري ḳadr-e, s. Somewhat, a little, a quantity.

قرحه ḳarḥa A (from قرح) s. m. A wound, a pimple, sore, ulcer. قرحه هونا ḳarḥa honā, To fester.

ق ḳāf called قاف قرشت the twenty-first letter of the Arabic alphabet, does not occur in pure Persian, and has no analogous letter in Sans- krit. Its sound differs from that of ک or the
