قرض ḳarẓ A s. m. A loan, debt, money bor- rowed at interest. قرض حسنه ḳarẓ-i-ḥasana, Money lent without interest, and repaid at the pleasure of the borrower. قرض خواه ḳarẓ-

قاب ḳāb A (Heb. ) 1. s. f. A large dish used for serving rice, &c. in at a meal, or for kneading dough in, &c. 2. s. m. The distance be- tween the part where a bow is grasped by the hand and its extremities. قاب قوسين ḳāb-ḳau- sain, The distance of two bows, or rather of two bows from the part grasped by the hand to the extremities.

قلعه ḳilʼaﻌ A (in Hind. but) properly ḳalʼaﻌ s. m. A fort. قلعه دار ḳilʼaﻌ-dār, Commandant of a garrison. قلعه داري ḳilʼaﻌ-dār-ī, s. f. The com- mand of a garrison.

قبول ḳabūl A or ḳubūl (from قبل) 1. s. m. Con- sent, favourable reception, concession, approba- tion, assent. 2. adj. Accepted, approved, consented, agreed. قبول صورت ḳabūl-ṣūrat, Handsome. قبول صورتي ḳabūl-ṣūrat-ī, s. f. Handsomeness. قبول کرنا ḳabūl karnā, To accept, receive, take, assent, allow, confess, consent, deign, agree to, own, promise. قبول هونا ḳabūl honā, To be accepted, agreed to, &c. A. H. قبولنا ḳabūl-nā, v. a. To agree, consent, as- sent, accept, approve, make choice of.

قطعه ḳit̤ʼaﻌ A s. m. 1. A section, a cutting, a fragment, a division. 2. A strophe. قطعه بند ḳit̤ʼaﻌ-band, adj. A kind of verse, in which the meaning of the first verse of each stanza is com- pleted in the last. ¶ ḳat̤ʼﻌ or ḳut̤ʼaﻌ, A divi- sion, plot, parcel or portion of land, segment, portion; cut, shape.
