قايم ḳāʼịm A (part. act. of قوم Heb. ) 1. adj. Standing, erect, perpendicular. 2. Firm, fixed, constant, stable, durable, lasting, continuing. 3. قسمت ḳismat A s. f. (dakh. s. m.) 1. Fate, for- tune, lot. 2. Share, distribution, portion, division.
