خاص ḵẖāṣṣ A (vulg. ḵẖāṣ, from خصّ Heb. To cut, to divide, to appropriate) adj. 1. Ex- cellent, noble, pure, unmixed. 2. Particular, private, what is kept for the kingʼs (or the mas- terʼs) private use, own, proper, peculiar, single, gentle. 3. adv. Especially, peculiarly. خاص بردار ḵẖāṣṣ-bardār, s. m.
