جوانا jiwānā S̱. v. a. 1. See جمانا jimānā. 2. (causal of جينا) To cause to live.

جار जार jār S s. m. A gallant, a paramour.

جاسوسي jāsūs-ī A. s. f. The action or duty of a spy, spying. جاسوسي کرنا jāsūs-ī karnā, To act the spy.

جاري jārī A (from جريان) adj. Running, flowing, proceeding, current, usual. جاري جرنا jārī karnā, To begin, to set on foot, introduce (a custom), issue or put in force (an order). جاري هونا jārī honā, 1. To flow, issue. 2. To pass current, to be in force, to prevail, to proceed (as, business).

جيتک jetik यावत् S̱. adv. See جيتا jetā.

جهنڐولا jhanḍūlā H adj. With thick handsome foliage (a tree), with a fine head of hair (a child).

جيون jyūṅ S̱. or jyoṅ, or jyauṅ, adv. As, how much, the more so, when, as if. جيون کا تيون

جريب jarīb A s. f. 1. A land measure. 2. A corn measure (of 384 mudds or about 768 lbs.). جريب کرنا jarīb karnā, To make a survey (of lands). جريب کش jarīb-kash, s. m. A mea- surer or surveyor of land. جريب کشي jārīb- kash-ī, s. f. Mensuration (of land), the office of a land-surveyor.

جيغه jīg̠ẖa P s. m. An ornament of gold worn on the turband: see کلغي kalg̠ẖī.
