جزيره jazīra A s. m. An island, a peninsula.

جمکنا jamaknā H v. n. جوتي سوروپ jotī-swarūp ज्योतिःस्वरूप S̱. Self-resplendent; an epithet of God.

جهکري jhakrī H s. f. A milk-pail or -vessel.

جهکورنون jhakornauṅ H v. a. (in Braj) See جهکورنا jhakornā.

جهڙپنا jhaṛap-nā H v. n. To spar, to fight (as, cocks, &c.), to contend.

جهيکهنا jhīkhnā H v. n. To grieve, to lament, to think of any thing with sorrow, to recommend any thing seriously.

جهوا jhauwā झावुक S̱. s. m. 1. See جهاؤ jhāʼū. 2. A basket (without a cover).

جاگير jā-gīr P s. f. Land given by government as a reward for services, or as a fee; a pension (in land), a fief. جاگيردار jāgīr-dār, s. m. The holder of a fee or jāgīr, a feoffee.
