پوترا potrā S̱. or potṛā, s. m. Baby-cloths, clouts.

پتا पिता pitā S s. m. A father.

پٿانا paṭānā H (trans. of پٿنا) v. a. 1. To irrigate, to water. 2. To prepare a چوکا chaukā with cow-dung dissolved in water. 3. To place the beams on the roof of a house. 4. To pay money.

پاسي pās-ī S̱. (from पाश A rope) s. m. One whose business it is to make tāḍī. (So named from the rope round his leg when he climbs the تاڙ tree).

پرتاپ प्रताप pra-tāp S s. m. Glory, majesty, the high spirit arising from the possession of rank and power.

پرکاري purkār-ī P s. f. Thickness.

پيروٴي pairau-ī P s. f. Following, imitation, pro- secution, pursuit, a consequence, hunting after, investigation.

پاٿي pāṭī पट्टिका S̱. s. f. 1. The side pieces of a bedstead. 2. A kind of mat. 3. A kind of board on which children learn to write. 4. Divisions of the hair which is combed towards the two sides and parted by a line in the mid- dle. 5. A kind of sweetmeat.

پرات प्रातः prāt S s. m. Morning, dawn of day.

پوي poʼe S̱. s. f. (उपादिका) A kind of vegetable. (Basella alba and rubra).
