نسرنا nisarnā निःसरण S̱. v. n. To issue, to go forth, to come out.

نرسنگا nar-singā नलशृंग S̱. s. m. A horn (mu- sical), a wind instrument. S. نرسنگهـ नरसिंह or नृसिंह nar-singh or nr̤i- singh, s. m. The name of the fourth Avatār or incarnation of Vish̤ṇu, which happened in the Satya-yuga, upon the following occasion. Hiranya-kasipu, an impious prince, was en- raged at his son Prahlād for worshipping the Almighty, and tried every means of destroying him, by poison, by throwing him into fire, into the ocean, &c. yet Prahlād lived. "If your God is present every where," says Hiranya- kasipu, "let him come from an alabaster pil- lar;" on which Nar-singha appeared, with the lower part of a man and the upper of a lion,

نندولا nandolā नन्दा S̱. s. m. An earthen vessel.

نوي nawe H or navī, s. f. The string with which a cowʼs feet are tied when milking, a tether.

نندت निंदित nindit S adj. Blamed.

نہري naharī P. s. (dakh.) Breakfast (Harris): see نہاري nahārī.

نقدي naḳd-ī A. adj. Relating to cash, (paid, &c.) in cash, possessing ready money, moneyed. ¶ نقدي کا جوڙا naḳde kā joṛā (dakh.) An or- nament of bangles for the wrist.

ناف nāf P (Sans. नाभि) s. f. The navel; the middle.

نرموهي nir-moh-ī S (from निर् prep. and मोह Fainting, &c.) adj. Not fascinated, without af- fection, free from attachment, unkind.

نيام niyām P s. m. 1. A sheath, scabbard, case. 2. A bandage for a broken limb. 3. The plough- tail or handle.
