نشا nashā A (from نشو or نشي) s. m. 1. Intoxica- tion, intoxicating liquor, a headach or crop sickness (from over-drinking). 2. Perception (of a good smell), fragrance, smell. نشا خور na- shā-ḵẖor, A person who takes intoxicating drugs, &c. a drunkard.

نوچ noch H s. m. A pinch, a scratch.

نشاٴيت nashā-īyat A. s. f. Quality of intoxicating.

نظاره naz̤āra A or naz̤z̤āra (from نظر) s. m. Sight, view, show, inspection. نظاره باز naz̤āra-bāz, An ogler. نظاره کن naẕẕāra-kun, Gazing, surveying.

نکتوڙا nak-toṛā S̱. (from ناک Nose, and توڙنا) adj. Droll, waggish, roguish.

نزول nuzūl A (inf. from نزل) s. m. 1. Descent, alighting, sojourning. 2. A cataract (in the eye). نزول آب nuzūl-i-āb, A swelling of the testicle, which (excepting the case of a blow, or of hernia) is universally ascribed to the descent of water: the term, therefore, comprehends hy- drocele, hernia humoralis, and scirrhus.

نيچه nai-cha P (dimin. of ني nai) s. m. A ḥuḳḳa- snake. نيچه بند naicha-band, A person who makes ḥuḳḳa-snakes. نيچه بندي naicha-band-ī, The trade of a naicha-band.

نم nam P adj. Moist, damp, wet; subst. Hu- midity, moistness. نم خورده nam-ḵẖụrda, De- stroyed by moisture. نم ديده nam-dīda, adj. Weeping. نمناک nam-nāk, adj. Moist, damp. نمناکي nam-nāk-ī, s. f. Moistness.
