نيماوت nīmāwat S̱. s. System of the followers of Nīmānand a faḳir.

ندهان निधान nidhān S s. m. A place, house, mansion, abode, receptacle, the subject in which any quality inheres.

نيوار newār H s. f. Tape. See نوار niwār.

نوروز nau roz P s. m. New yearʼs day according to the Persian calendar; being that on which the sun enters Aries. This is called عامه or general: and, the sixth of the same month is called خاصه or particular. Both are celebrated by feasts, the liberation of prisoners, &c.

نايره nāʼịra A (from نور Heb. ) s. m. Fire, heat, inflammation, flame, enmity, hatred.

نبهاڙنا nibhāṛnā S̱. v. a. (dakh.) See نباڙنا nibāṛ- nā, and نباهنا nibāhnā.

نکهوٿ nikhoṭ S̱. (निर् prep. and r. कुट Act crookedly, or r. खोट Limp) s. m. Plain dealer, any thing without blemish.

نہتيا nihatyā S̱. (नि for निर् prep. and हस्त Hand) adj. Unarmed.

نوار niwār H s. f. Tape (of a coarse kind). نوار باف niwār-bāf, A tape-weaver.

نکر नक्र nakr S s. m. An alligator.
