نس nas A. (corrupt. from نسا) s. f. 1. A vein. 2. A sinew.

نتهرا nithrā H adj. Clear (water whose impurity has subsided).

نمدا namdā P. s. m. Felt, or a coarse woollen cloth formed without weaving, used in coverings for horses or in garments to keep off rain. 2. Membrum virile. نمد پوش namad-posh, Clothed in felt. نمد پوشي namad- posh-ī, s. f. The being clothed in felt, &c. نمد مو namad-mū, adj. Having hair like namad.

نسرين nasrain A s. dual. (of نسر) The constel- lations of the eagle and the lyre. See under نسر nasr.

نقاشي naḳḳāsh-ī A. s. f. Drawing, painting, sculpture, statuary, embroidery.

نبنا nibnā S̱. v. n. (dakh.) See نبهنا nibhnā.

نہار nahār A (from نہر Heb. and Aram. To flow, Chald. and Syr. To shine) s. m. The day, diffusion of light.

نگاه nigāh P s. f. 1. A look, glance, sight, view, the aspect. 2. Observation, watching. 3. Cus- tody, care. نگاه رکهنا nigāh rakhnā, To take care, to lay by, to guard. نگاه کرنا nigāh kar- nā, To observe, look, regard, view, oversee.

نرپهل निर्फल nir-phal S adj. Fruitless.

نکند ni-kand S̱. (from निर् prep. and कंद Root) adj. Rooted up, extirpated.
