قول ḳaul A (Heb. ) s. m. 1. A word, saying, assertion. 2. Agreement, promise, consent, contract, affirmation. 3. A kind of song. قول قرار ḳaul-ḳarār, s. m. Agreement. compact. قول قرار کرنا ḳaul ḳarār karnā, To covenant, to stipulate. قول قلبا نه ḳaul-ḳalbāna, A kind of song. قولنامه ḳaul-nāma, s. m. A written agreement,

قرناٴي ḳarnāʼī A or ḳarnāʼe (Chald. from قرن Heb. and Chald. To be horned, to radiate) s. f. A trumpet, a horn (musical), a bugle, a clarion, cornet.

قيدي ḳaid-ī A. s. m. A prisoner, captive.

قمقمه ḳumḳuma A (from قمقم To collect, to hold, to be plunged in water) 1. A jug, a pitcher; (hence, in Hind.) a vessel in which the red mixture is contained with which they play at the holī. 2. A round shade or lantern.

قيلوله ḳailūla A (from قيل) s. m. Sleeping at midday, a midday nap.

قطمير ḳit̤mīr A s. m. 1. The thin pellicle on a date stone. 2. Name of the dog which ac- companied the seven sleepers. نقيروقطمير na- ḳīr o ḳit̤mīr, adv. Minutely, exactly, to the point.

قاطبه ḳāt̤iba A adj. All.

قـﮩقـﮩ‍ه ḳahḳaha A s. m. Loud laughter, horse- laugh. قـﮩقـﮩ‍ا کرنا ḳahḳahā karnā, or قـﮩقـﮩ‍ه مارنا ḳahḳaha mārnā, To laugh heartily, to giggle.

قضيه ḳaẓiya A (from قضي) s. m. 1. Declaration, proposition, determination. 2. History, nar- rative. 3. Death. 4. Natura fœminæ, vulva. 5. A syllogism (in logick). 6. (in Hind. and Pers.) A quarrel, wrangling, wrangle, conten- tion, broil, litigation, lawsuit, action at law. (Plur. قضايا). قضيه دلال ḳaẓiya-dallāl, One who excites quarrel, mischiefmaker. قضيه کرنا ḳaẓiya karnā, To quarrel, to wrangle. قضيه مول لينا ḳaẓiya mol lenā, To take on oneʼs self the quarrel of another, to interfere without cause in the disputes of others. قناعت ḳanāʼaﻌt A (improp. kināʼaﻌt, from قنع) s. f. 1. Content, tranquillity. 2. Abstinence. قناعت کرنا ḳanāʼaﻌt karnā, To be content (on).
