طرفه t̤urfa A adj. Wonderful, strange, rare, agreeable (any thing).

طوبيٰ t̤ūbạ̄ A (from طاب Heb. To be good or delicious) 1. s. m. The name of a tree in pa- radise, whose fruit is said to be most delicious. 2. adj. Excellent, sweet.

طبع t̤abﻌ A (Rab. from طبع Heb. To dip, immerge, mark or coin money) s. f. Na- ture, genius, temperament, quality, disposition. طبع آزماٴي t̤abﻌ-āzmā-ī, s. f. Trial of genius. طبع زاد t̤abﻌ-zād, Invention, production of ge- nius, produced by the genius.

طوف t̤auf A s. m. 1. Surrounding, making the circuit, going round. 2. Pilgrimage, the pro- cession round the temple of Mecca.

طايفه t̤āʼịfa A (orig. Nocturnal rounds or watch- men, from طوف To go round) s. m. People, tribe, a troop, a band (particularly, of musi- cians and dancing women); suit, equipage.

طفل t̤ifl A s. m. An infant, a child, a young ani- mal. (Plur. Arab. اطفال Pers. طفلان). A.P. طفلانه t̤ifl-āna, adj. Childish, like a child.

طمانچه t̤amāncha P. (or تپانچه from تپ) s. m. A slap, blow, box, thump, cuff, &c. طمانچه جڙنا يا لگانا يا مارنا t̤amāncha-jaṛnā, or -lagānā or -mārnā, To give a slap, to cuff. طمانچي سي منـﮩـ لال رکهنا t̤amānche se muṅh lāl rakhnā, To conceal oneʼs poverty from pride or high spirit.

طنين t̤anīn A s. f. Buzzing.

طبله t̤abla A s. m. 1. A small tambourin. 2. A wooden dish, or large platter, generally of wood and painted, on which fruits, perfumes, &c. are exposed for sale or as presents.

طل t̤all A s. The dew.
