طعنه t̤aﻌna A s. m. Taunting, reproach, gibe, scoff, ignominy, disgrace, aspersion. طعنه زن t̤aﻌna-zan, A reproacher, taunter, asperser, cen- surer, sneerer. طعنه زني t̤a na-zan-ī, s. f. Taunting, jeering, scoffing, reproaching. طعنه مارنا t̤aﻌna mārnā, To cast reproach, to reproach, gibe, twit.

طنز t̤anz A s. f. 1. Mirth, joking, pleasantry. 2. Ridiculing, sneer, taunt.

طافح t̤āfiḥ A (part. act. of طفح) adj. Overflowing, full of drink.

طارم t̤ārim P. (Pers. تارم) s. m. Any building of a circular form with an arched or cupola roof, a wooden structure in gardens, &c. for the guarding of them.

طلاوه t̤ilāwa A. (corrupt. of طليعه or طلايع) s. m. Night-watch, rounds, piquet, patrole.

طول t̤ūl A 1. s. m. Length, longitude; prolixity, diffusiveness. طول حرف t̤ūl-i-ḥarf, or طول سخحن t̤ūl-i-suḵẖan, or طول کلام t̤ūl-i-kalām, Prolixity, length of discourse, circumlocution, many words. 2. adj. Long, tall, extensive, lasting long.

طراري t̤arrārī A. s. f. Quickness, fluency. A. P. طراز t̤irāz (or t̤arāz) s. m. 1. Lace, fringe, embroidery, &c. any ornament on the border of a garment. 2. Manner, form. 3. part. act. (from طرازيدن) in compos. Adorning, ornamenting with needlework.

طريقت t̤arīḳat A s. f. 1. Way, path. 2. Man- ner, mode. 3. Reli- gion, sect. 4. The better sort of people.

طرقو t̤arriḳū A imp. 2. pers. plur. (ii. conj. of طرق) Make way! طرقو کنان t̤arrikū-kunāṅ, A clearer of the way before a great man.
