طرار t̤arrār A (from طرّ To cut) s. m. A pickpocket, a cutpurse, impostor, a cheat.

طلاقت t̤alāḳat A s. f. Eloquence or freedom (of tongue).

طعنه t̤aﻌna A s. m. Taunting, reproach, gibe, scoff, ignominy, disgrace, aspersion. طعنه زن t̤aﻌna-zan, A reproacher, taunter, asperser, cen- surer, sneerer. طعنه زني t̤a na-zan-ī, s. f. Taunting, jeering, scoffing, reproaching. طعنه مارنا t̤aﻌna mārnā, To cast reproach, to reproach, gibe, twit.

طوق t̤auḳ A s. m. 1. A collar, yoke. 2. Neck- lace, chain (for the neck, whether by way of or- nament or of punishment), a ring. t̤auḳ-i-zan- jīr, Irons, manacles. طوق زنجير کرنا t̤auḳ-zanjīr- karnā, To imprison, to put in irons.

طولاني t̤ūl-ānī A. s. f. Length.

طپيده t̤apīda P part. pass. (of طپيدن) Agitated, palpitating, flouncing, fluttering.

طبق t̤abaḳ A s. m. (dakh. s. f.) 1. A cover. 2. A plate, a dish, a leaf, a disk. 3. Gold leaf, tinfoil, &c. 4. One thing following another or consecutive; the story of a house, a layer or stratum, &c. class, order, degree.

طفلي t̤ifl-ī A. s. f. Infancy, childhood.

طرف t̤araf A (or t̤arf, from طرف To turn away, to strike the eye, compress the eye, wink) s. f. (dakh. s. m.) Side, margin, corner, quar- ter, extremity; towards. طرف ثاني t̤arf-i-s̤ānī, 1. A defendant. 2. An enemy. 3. (met.) A wife. طرفدار t̤araf-dār, 1. s. m. A partisan, a follower, a sectary, an assistant. 2. adj. Par- tial. طرفداري t̤araf-dār-ī, s. f. Following, par- tiality, assistance, &c.
