شوره shora P 1. adj. Marshy, barren (ground). 2. s. m. Nitre, saltpetre. شوره گر shora-gar, s. m. A manufacturer of saltpetre.

شگون shugūn P (improp. shagūn. Sans. शकुन) s. m. Augury, omen.

شاديانه shādiyāna P adj. Relating to marriage or rejoicings; s. m. Musick and singing at marriages or on other festive occasions. شاديانه بجانا shādiyāna bajānā, To triumph.

شہاب shihāb A s. m. 1. A bright star, a falling star, a meteor. 2. Flame. 3. (Pers.) ¶ sha- hāb, A red colour.
