شريفه sharīfa A. s. m. A custard apple. (Annona squamosa).

شوايب shawāʼịb A s. m. plur. (of شايبة) Impure things, impurities.

شعبه shuʼba A s. m. The cleft or crack of a moun- tain in which water stands, a channel in which water flows especially through the sand.

شيشه shīsha P s. m. Glass, a bottle, a glass. شيشه باز shīsha-bāz, A juggler. شيشه بازي shī- sha-bāz-ī, s. f. Juggle, legerdemain. شيشه باشا shīsha-bāshā, adj. Glass-making. شيشه محل shīsha- maḥall, A house or palace all hung with glass, a cabinet adorned with glass.

شہرياري shahr-yār-ī P adj. Royal, imperial, re- gal. s. f. Empire, royalty.

شہيد shahīd A (from شہد) s. A witness; a mar- tyr (any Muhammadan killed in battle is so called). adj. Killed. شہيدهونا shahīd honā, 1. To be killed. 2. To fall in love. (Pers. plur. شہيدان).

شاد مان shād-mān P adj. Pleased, delighted, joyful, cheerful, gay, merry, glad.

شتر शत्रु shatru S s. m. An enemy. شتربهاو शत्रुभाव shatru-bhāv, Like an enemy, as bad as an enemy.
