سرپوش sar-posh P s. m. Cover, lid, potlid.

سيلوان शीलवान् sīl-wān S adj. Of good or amiable disposition, benevolent, well-conducted.

سوک sok H s. m. The holes in a bedstead through which the strings for bracing it pass.

سا sā P. S̱. 1. adj. (Pers. سان or Sans. समान or सदृश) Like, resembling (most commonly by way of adjunct like the English) ish; so کالاسا kālā-sā, Blackish. 2. (for s. शः) An adjunct the meaning of which is at times scarcely perceptible, though often it seems to give intensity to the preceding word; as بـہت سا bahut-sā, Much, many, very much. 3. سريکها sarekhā S̱. 1. s. f. (अश्लेषा) The ninth mansion of the moon, consisting of five stars, probably in Cancer. 2. adj. Cunning, sly.

ستهوارا sathwārā H s. m. A sweetmeat given to a childbed woman, &c.: see سٿهوڙا saṭhoṛā.

سہرانا sahrānā H or sihrānā, or sahirānā, 1. v. n. To thrill, to have the hairs stand on end. 2. (corrupt. from سہلانا) v. a. To stroke, rub gently, tickle, titillate; tire, harass, tease.

Simplicity, sincerity, artlessness. ساده رخ sāda-ruḵẖ or ساده رو sāda- rū, adj. Beardless. ساده رخي sāda-ruḵẖ-ī, or ساده روي sāda-rū-ī, s. f. The having no beard on the face. ساده طوري sāda-t̤aur-ī, s. f. 1. Gen- tleness, affability. 2. Simplicity, stupidity. ساده کار sāda-kār, s. m. A (kind of) goldsmith. ساده لوح sāda-lauḥ (q. d. Tabula rasa) adj. Artless, simple, stupid; simpleton. ساده لوحي sāda-lauḥ-ī, s. f. Artlessness, simplicity, stupi- dity. ساده وضعي sāda-waẓ-īﻌ, s. f. Artlessness, simplicity, stupidity.
