رکيک rakīk A (from رکّ To be weak or thin. Heb. To be soft or tender) adj. Fine, mi- nute, subtile, thin.

راگ राग rāg S s. m. (in dakh. f.) 1. A mode in musick (there being six in number), musick, song, tune. 2. Anger, passion. 3. Love. راگ چهانا rāg chhānā, v. n. To be in concert. راگ رنگ rāg-rang, s. m. Musick. راگ ساگر rāg- sāgar, s. m. A song composed of many rāgs or musical modes. راگ مالا rāg-mālā, s. f. The name of a treatise on musick (being nothing more than a collection of pictures, exhibiting the traditional history of the primary and sub- ordinate modes, and the subjects appropriated to each).

ريحان rīhān A s. m. An odoriferous plant, sweet basil. (Plur. رياحين). تخم ريحان tuḵẖm-i-rīḥān, s. m. The seed of Ocymum pilosum.

ريگهاري reghārī S̱. (from रेखा or लेखा r. रिख or लिख Go), s. f. A furrow.

رب rub P s. m. Juice, rob, sirup, jelly. (Adopt- ed in Arab. rubb, of which the plur. is ربوب rubūb or رباب ribāb). رب السوس rubbu-s-sūs, Extract of liquorice.

راندني rāndnī H s. f. Parsley.

رگڙنا ragaṛnā H v. a. To rub, to scour, to grate, to fret, to abrade, to excoriate.

راوچاو rāʼo-chāʼo H or rāwchāw, s. m. 1. Gayety, amusement, dalliance, merriment, mirth. 2. Affection, endearment.

رنجه ranja P s. m. 1. Trouble, pain, grief. 2. A delicate and affected gait. رنجه خاطر ranja- ḵẖāt̤ir, Troubled in mind.
