ربع rubﻌ A (Heb. ) s. m. A fourth part, a quarter. ربع مسکون rub-iﻌ-maskūn, The inhabit- ed parts of the earth.

رجعت rajʼaﻌt A s. f. Return, return of the per- son divorcing to the person divorced, return of a man to his family, answer to a letter, the re- surrection. S. رجک रजक (r. रंज Colour) rajak, s. m. A washerman.

رسيده rasīda P (from رسيدن) part. pass. Arrived, received, ripe, overtaken by. (Plur. رسيدگان).

رانجهن rānjhan S̱. (रंजन) s. m. A sweet- heart: Leander, the lover of Hero (who is called in Hindī Hīr).

رتهـ रथ rath S s. f. A four-wheeled carriage (not used for baggage), a coach, chariot, car. رتهـ بان rath-bān or rathwān (रथवान्) s. m. A coachman, charioteer. رتهـ باني rath-bān-ī, s. f. Coachmanship.

راتب rātib A s. m. Daily allowance of food (to animals, particularly dogs and elephants), al- lowance, portion, provision.

رابڙي rābṛī H s. f. A kind of food like pap.

رامکيلي रामकेली rāmkelī S s. f. Name of a rāgiṇī or musical mode.

رسد rasad P s. f. Store of grain laid in for an army, &c. grain, provision.
