رنج ranj P s. m. Grief, affliction, trouble, pains, toil, anguish of mind, offence, disgust. رنج کش ranj-kash, adj. Enduring grief, &c. رنج کشي ranj-kash-ī, s. f. Endurance of toil, trou- ble, afflictions, &c.

رهوار rah-wār P s. m. See راهوار under راه rāh. H. S. رهواس rah-wās (dakh.) 1. s. f. m. Residence, abode. 2. adj. Inhabitant.

راج دهاني राजधानी rāj-dhānī S s. f. The me- tropolis, seat of empire, royal residence.

راري rār-ī H or rāṛ-ī, adj. Quarrelsome, conten- tious.

رتاوا ratāwā H s. m. (dakh.) Attack, &c.: see دهاوا dhāwā. رتاوامارنا ratāwā mārnā, To make an attack, incursion or inroad (on an enemyʼs country).

رواسا ro-ās-ā S̱. (see رواس ro-ās) adj. Inclined to cry, vexed, displeased, afflicted.

رتجگا rat-jagā S̱. s. m. See under رت rat.

رفو rafū A s. m. Darning, a darn. See رفا rafā. رفوچکر rafū-chakkar, Making oneʼs escape, stealing off. رفوچکرمين آجانا rafū chakkar meṅ ā-jānā, To be lost in astonishment. رفوکرنا rafū karnā, To darn. رفوگر rafū-gar, s. m. A darner. رفوگري rafū-gar-ī, s. f. The employ- ment of darning. رفوهونا rafū honā, To run away, to retire.

راتنا rātnā S̱. (from راتا) 1. v. a. To die (with co- lour), to stain. 2. v. n. To be strongly attached or in love (lit. stained with the die of love).
