دهي dahī दधि S̱. s. m. Thick sour milk, coagulated milk. دهي والا dahī-wālā, s. m. A seller of sour milk.

دوڙا dauṛā H s. m. 1. A large basket (without lid). See دورا daurā. 2. (from s̱. دوڙنا q. v.) A highwayman (who robs on horseback).

دود dūd P s. m. Smoke. دود آلوده dūd-ālūda, Smoky. دود دل dūd-i-dil, Exhalation of the heart, deep sigh.

دولمال کرنا dolmāl karnā दोलायमान S̱. v. a. To wave, to swing, to undulate, to hesitate.

دهجي dhajjī S̱. (from ध्वज) s. f. A slip of cloth or paper, a shred. دهجيان اڙانا dhajjiyaṅ uṛānā, To disgrace, to expose one to infamy. دهجيان کرنا dhajjiyāṅ karnā, To tear to pieces.

دهد هچهر dhadhhachchhar S̱. or dadhachchhar, (दग्धाक्षर Burnt letters) s. m. In versifica- tion, certain words or letters, which are reckoned by poets to be unlucky. (The letters ह ग न in the beginning of a verse, र ज स in the

دهين धेनु dhenu S s. f. A cow, a milch cow, one which has lately calved.

دينو dīnau S̱. 3d pers. sing. mas. past tense of دينون denauṅ (in Braj) To give.

دسا दिशा disā S s. f. Side, quarter, point (of the compass). دساکرنا disā karnā, To travel.
