چهٿي chhuṭṭī S̱. (from چهٿنا chhuṭnā) s. f. Dis- charge, release, acquittal, leave, time, leisure, cessation, disengagement, intermission, dismis- sion, permission, freedom.

چهليا chhal-iyā S̱. (छली) adj. Deceitful, frau- dulent, artful, treacherous, false, perfidious, betrayer.

چنديا chandiyā S̱. (from चन्द्र see چاند chānd, sign. 2.) s. f. The crown of the head.

چمڙا chamṛā चर्म्म S̱. s. m. Leather, a hide, a skin. چمڙا-ادهيڙنا-چهڙانا-کهينچنا-نکالنا chamṛā- udheṛnā, -chhuṛānā, -khainchnā, or -nikālnā, To flay, to skin.

چلي chillī H s. f. 1. A kind of dish made of eggs. 2. A blockhead, one who plays mischievous pranks.

چرکي churkī H s. f. Lock of hair. See چوٿي.

چارپايه chār-pāya P s. m. A quadruped. (Sans. चतुःपद).

چونا chūnā S̱. 1. (च्यवन from r. च्यु Go) v. n. To leak, distil, drop, to be filtered, to ooze, to exude. 2. To drop from the tree when ripe (fruit). 3. (चूर्ण) s. m. Lime. چونا پزني chūnā-paznī, s. f. A dancing girl. چونا لگانا chūnā lagānā, To defame.
