چاٴين chāʼīṅ H s. m. 1. Name of a low class of Hindūs. 2. Seed of tamarind. 3. or چاٴين چوٴين chāʼīṅ chūʼīṅ, s. f. Scaldhead.

The moon. چندربنسي chandra-bansī, Descendant of the moon; name of a tribe of Ksh̤atriyas who claim descent from the moon. چندرکلا chandra- kalā, A digit or one sixteenth part of the moonʼs diameter. چندربدني chandra-badanī, or چندرمکهي chandra-mukh-ī, Having a counte- nance beautiful as the moon.
