جراد jarād A s. m. A locust.

جيٿهرا jeṭhrā S̱. (from ज्येष्ठ) adj. 1. Elder, first born. 2. Husbandʼs elder brother.

جهينگر jhīngur H s. m. The name of an insect, a cricket. (See s. جهلي jhillī).

جوگتي jūgatī S̱. adj. See جگتي jugatī.

جدهر jidhar यत्र S̱. adv. Where, wherever, whither, there. جدهر تدهر jidhar tidhar (यत्रतत्र) adv. Here and there, everywhere. جدهرنوان ادهرپاني ڐهلنا jidhar niwān udhar pānī ḍhalnā, Where there is low ground there the water flows; (meaning) evil is added to evil, or misfortune comes upon misfortune.

جهکري jhakrī H s. f. A milk-pail or -vessel.

جهٿک jhaṭak H (from جهٿکنا) s. f. Twitch, stitch, toss, throw, jerk, shake.
