تراش خراش tarāsh-ḵẖarāsh P s. f. Shape (parti- cularly, good), neatness of form. P.H. تراشنا tarāshnā (from تراش) v. a. 1. To cut, to clip, prune. 2. To shave. 3. To shape, to cut out. اپني تئين تراشنا apne taʼīṅ tarāshnā, To be vain, to value or esteem oneʼs self above others.

تميز tamīz A (for تمييز inf. ii. of ميز) s. f. Dis- cernment, judgment, discretion, distinction, sense. حرف تميز ḥarf-i-tamīz, An adverb.

تغني tag̠ẖannī A (inf. v. of غنا) s. f. Singing, cooing, celebrating a mistress in verse, content- ment.

تيمم tayammum A (inf. v. of يمّ) s. m. Purifying before prayer with sand or dust, when water can- not be had.

تاز tāz P 1. part. act. (from تاختن) in compos. Running, hastening. 2. s. Assault, attack, race, running. تازوتگ tāz o tag, Toil and labour.

تارو tārū तालु S̱. s. m. The palate.

توا tawā P. (تاوه or تابه) s. m. 1. The iron plate on which bread is baked. 2. The part of a ḥuḳḳa to which the tobacco is fixed, or the tobacco it- self. 3. An iron mirror. ¶ tauwā (dakh.) See تابه tāba. توي پوکي کهلي هونا tauwe po kī khillī honā (dakh.) To be unsettled or agitated.

توبڙه tobṛa H s. m. The bag in which horses eat their corn.

تدفين tadfīn A (inf. ii. of دفن) s. f. Burial, interment, funeral.

تفويض tafwīẓ A (inf. ii. of فوض) s. f. 1. Resigning, committing to another, cession, recommending, confiding to another. 2. Marrying a wife without a fortune.
