تزوير tazwīr A (inf. ii. of زور) s. f. Imposture, fraud, deceit, stratagem, deception, lie.

تفسيده tafsīda P part. pass. (of تفسيدن) 1. Burning, heated, warmed. 2. Cracked (lips).

تومان tomān P s. m. 1. A myriad, 10,000. 2. A sum of money equal to 10,000 Arabic silver drachmas (which are about one third less than those of the Greeks): also, a sum equal to fifteen dollars and a half. 3. Districts, into which a kingdom is divided, each being sup- posed to furnish 10,000 fighting men. See تمن (When the city of Samarkand, for example, is put down for seven tomāns, it implies that she must hold 70,000 men ready for the field on the requisition of her sovereign. Richards).

تيرنا tairnā तरण S̱. v. a. To swim, to cross over.

تارن तारण tāraṇ S s. m. 1. The act of freeing, salvation, deliverance. 2. One that sets free or delivers.

غـﮩم tafahhum A (inf. v. of فـﮩم) s. m. Under- standing, conceiving.

تيتر tītar तित्तिरि S̱. s. m. A partridge. (Per- dix francolinus). تيترکي منـﮩـ لچهمي tītar ke muṅh lachhmī, (lit. Good fortune proceeds from the mouth of the partridge, which is a small bird, of little estimation) A saying used when a person of mean understanding is chosen to de- cide in matters of which he is incompetent to judge.
