ترابي turāb-ī A adj. Earthen.

تعشق taʼaﻌshshuḳ A (inf. v. of عشق) s. m. Being or falling in love, making love.

تخت taḵẖt P s. m. A throne. تخت بخت taḵẖt baḵẖt, 1. Throne and fortune. 2. Used as a form of benediction, particularly by women, to signify wedlock and wealth. تخت پربيٿهالنا taḵẖt par baiṭhālnā, To enthrone. تخت پربيٿهنا taḵẖt par baiṭhnā, To reign. تخت چهوڙنا taḵẖt chhoṛnā, To abdicate a throne. تخت دار taḵẖt-dār, s. m. A king. تخت روان taḵẖt-i-rawān, s. m. A travelling throne, a throne on which the king is carried. تخت سي اتارنا taḵẖt se utārnā, To dethrone. تخت نشان taḵẖt-ni- shān, Seating on, or bestowing thrones. تخت نشين taḵẖt-nishīn, Sitting on a throne, reigning; a king, a sovereign. تخت نشيني taḵẖt-nishīn-ī, s. f. Accession to the throne, reign. تخت يا تخته taḵẖt yā taḵẖta, Either a throne or a bier (spoken on engaging in a desperate en- terprise).

تارا तारा tārā S s. m. 1. A star. 2. The ap- ple of the eye. 3. n. pr. The name of the wife of Rājā Bali. تاري توڙنا tāre toṛnā (dakh. i. q. مکرکرنا) To practise deceit. تاري گننا tāre ginnā, To count the stars, i. e. to get no sleep. تارامنڐل tārā-manḍal, The starry sphere.

تشدد tashaddud A (from شدّ) 1. s. m. Seizing and holding firmly or by force, shewing vehe- mence or severity. 2. adj. Strong, robust, corroborated, confirmed. (Plur. تشددات).

توڙ toṛ H s. f. A net work thrown over a womanʼs pālkī, &c. See تور tor.

ترمرانا tirmirānā H v. n. 1. To vibrate, to dazzle, to thrill, to shake. 2. To glisten as grease or oil swimming on water.

تسلا taslā H s. m. A vessel used by Hindūs to dress their victuals.

تهاه thāh S̱. (r. ष्ठा Stand) s. f. Bottom, ford.

توپڙا topṛā H s. m. 1. A fly. 2. A kind of pigeon.
