تانت tānt S̱. s. f. 1. (तंत्री) Catgut, sinew, the string of a musical instrument. تانت باجي اورراگ بوجها tānt bājī aur rāg būjhā, He under- stood from the first word. تانت باندهنا tānt bāndhnā, To put to silence an idle talker. 2. (from तन्तु) A loom.

تيج tej S (तेजस् r. तिज Sharpen) s. m. 1. Ardour, splendour, glory, refulgence, strength, energy. 2. Fire. تيج مان tej-mān, adj. Glo- rious, splendid, energetick.

تهوتلا thotlā H adj. Blunt.

تحليل taḥlīl A (inf. ii. of حلّ) s. (used generally in compos. with verbs) 1. Dissolving, diges- tion, concoction, solubility. 2. Making lawful. تحليل هونا taḥlīl honā, To waste, to consume.

تضيع taẓīﻌ A (inf. ii. of ضيع) s. f. Spoiling, wasting, idling (away time). تضيع اوقات taẓī-iﻌ- auḳāt, Idling away time; ennui, weariness.

تهان thān H s. m. 1. A piece of cloth. 2. A stall for cattle, a manger. 3. A piece (of coin); as, يک تهان اشرفي One gold mohur. 4. تينون تهان tīnoṅ thān, The private parts of a male.

تمکنا tamaknā S̱. v. a. 1. See تمتمانا 2. To be enraged without cause, or to break out into vio- lence at a temperate and reasonable speech.

تسنيم tasnīm A (from سنم) s. A water or foun- tain of paradise.

تهاؤن thāʼoṅ S̱. s. m. See ٿهانو ṭhāṅw.

ترشح tarashshuḥ A (inf. v. of رشح) s. m. Exu- ding, dropping (as, sweat, &c.). 2. Dripping, distilling. 3. A small rain.
