پاتکوا pātakwā पदग S̱. s. m. A messenger.

پياله piyāla P or pyāla, s. m. 1. A glass, a cup. 2. A firepan, or priming pan (of a musket, &c.). پياله بهرنا piyāla bharnā, To be puffed up with pride. پياله نواله piyāla niwāla, Food and drink (in the slang of debauchees). پياله هونا piyāla honā (in the phrase of faḳīrs) To die.

To let fall a curtain. 2. To lay aside concealment. پرده دار parda-dār, Confidential. پرده در parda-dar, A betrayer of secrets. پرده دري parda-dar-ī, The betraying of secrets. پرده رکهنا parda rakhnā, To give ob- scure hints, or to relate a matter in such terms as to be understood by part only of the hearers. پرده فاش parda-fāsh, Betraying secrets. پرده کرنا parda karnā, To conceal. پرده کسي کاپهاڙنا parda kisī kā phāṛnā, or پرده کسي کاکهولنا parda kisī kā kholnā, To reveal the faults of another. پرده نشين parda-nishīn, Remaining behind the curtain; modest. پردي مين سوراخ کرنا parde meṅ sūrāḵẖ karnā, Spoken of a woman who secretly indulges licentious practices.

پنيانا paniyānā S̱. (from पानीय) v. n. To irri- gate, to water, to yield water.

پرباس prabās S (प्रवास from प्र and r. वस Dwell) s. m. Travelling, journey, sojourning in a foreign country, abroad. S. پرباسي 1. प्रवासी prabās-ī, s. m. A traveller. 2. पुरवासी pura-bāsī, s. m. An inhabitant of a city.
