پذيرا paẕīrā P. (from پذيرفتن) adj. Acceptable, agreeable.

پپڙياکت papṛiyā-kat H s. f. A kind of white- coloured kath (extract of Mimosa catechu).

پالکي pālkī H s. f. A litter, a sedan. پالکي سوار pālkī-sawār, One who rides in a pālkī. پالکي نشين pālkī-nishīn, Entitled to be carried in a pālkī. (Formerly, this privilege was granted by a King or Viceroy).

پنا pannā S̱. s. m. 1. (for पन्नग) An emerald. 2. (for पर्ण) A leaf.

پيشور peshaur P. s. m. Name of a city, properly پيشاور pesh-āwar, built by Akbar. The word im- ports "an advanced post," as it is the next town to the Afg̠ẖāns.

پرکهانا parkhānā S̱. (causal of پرکهنا q. v.) v. a. To cause to inspect, examine, try or prove.

پهرپهري phurphurī S̱. (r. स्फुर Shake) s. f. Trem- bling, quivering, tremour, palpitation.
