پاپ पाप pāp S s. m. Sin, fault, crime.

پيٿوکها peṭaukhā S̱. s. m. A looseness, purging, flux.

پهليل phulel फुल्लतैल S̱. s. m. Oil impreg- nated with the essence of flowers by steeping them in it, essence (as a perfume).

پتت पतित patit S adj. Fallen, abject; guilty, abandoned. پتت پاون patit-pāwan, Purifying the guilty. (An epithet of the deity). S̱.H. پت جهڙ pat-jhaṛ, 1. adj. Without leaves. پت جهڙهونا pāt jhaṛ honā, To lose itʼs leaves in autumn (a tree); (met.) To decay (a person from old age). 2. s. f. The fall of the leaf; autumn.

پپڙي papṛī पर्पटी S̱. s. f. 1. A scab, a scale, scurf. 2. Scales formed by the drying up of moist earth. 3. Thin cakes of bread.

پچهـ پاؤن هونا pichh pāʼoṅ honā S̱. (dakh.) See هٿنا haṭnā.

پرور parwar P part. act. and pass. (from پروردن) used in compos. A patron, protector, nourisher, cherisher: educated, cherished. As, غريب پرور g̠ẖarīb-parwar, Cherisher of the poor. سايه پرور sāya-parwar, adj. Educated in the shade or at home; soft, delicate, knowing little of the world.

پهل بجهول phal-bujhauwal S̱. s. m. The name of a game (called also Mankelā): "think of a num- ber, double it, add ten to it, take five from it, &c. how much remains?" "twenty one," "the number was eight."

پجنا pujnā S̱. (r. पूर Fill) v. n. To be filled or completed.

پوشاکي poshāk-ī P adj. Fit for making garments (cloth).
