پـﮩرانا pahrānā S̱. or pahirānā (परिधान) v. a. To cause to dress, to clothe, invest, to dress.

پن pan H A termination, affixed to nouns to denote the abstract quality, and answering to the English terminations ship, hood, ness, &c. as لڙک پن laṛak-pan, Childhood. بنياپن banyā- pan, The business of a بنيا q. v.

پڙوا paṛiwā S̱. s. f. See پروا pariwā.

پدڙي pidṛī H s. f. A tom-tit.

پلا palā H s. m. A spoon, ladle for taking out oil, &c.

پهلي phalī S̱. (from फल) s. f. A cod, a pod (or the seed) of any legumi- nous plant, but particularly of peas. 2. A loop. پهلي کش phalī-kash, s. m. A hook for drawing the strings through the holes by which the walls of a tent are laced to the top.

پاٿهي पाठी pāṭhī S 1. s. m. The same as پاٿهک pāṭhak, q. v. 2. s. f. A young goat.

پوتلا pūtlā पुत्तल S̱. s. m. A puppet, an image.

پرويز parwīz P n. prop. A prince, the lover of Shīrīn, celebrated in romance. S̱. پرويس प्रवेश praves, s. m. Entry. See پربيس

پچهياو pachhiyāʼo S̱. (पश्चिमवात see پچهوا) s. f. A westerly wind.
