پتکي patukī H s. f. A small pot, a pan.

پسلي paslī पार्श्व S̱. s. f. A rib, the præcordia. پسلي پهڙکني paslī phaṛaknī, A thrilling over the ribs, is applied to a perception of the condition of an absent person.

پنڐي pinḍī S. (पिंड A lump) s. f. 1. The upper part of a Siva-ling. 2. A lump of any thing that may be contained in the fist. 3. A small clue or ball of string. 4. A small altar of sand a cubit square, on which oblations to the manes are offered.

پيلا pīlā पीत S̱. adj. Yellow.

پربتيا parbat-iyā S̱. s. m. (from पर्वती Produc- tion of hills) A kind of pumpkin.

پهونک phonk H 1. s. f. The notch of an ar- row. 2. adj. Hollow, not solid (particularly, jewels).

پچهوت pichhūt S̱. (from पश्चात्) 1. adv. Behind, afterwards. 2. s. m. Back of a house.

پنڐا panḍā S̱. (perhaps, for पंडित) s. m. A minister who presides at the temple of an idol. S. P. پنڐارا pinḍārā (पिंड Lump of food, and آر Bringer) s. m. A plunderer, a pillager (among Mahārāttas).

پراچت parāchit प्रायश्चित्त S̱. s. m. A fine or penance imposed on religious occasions as the price of absolution, atonement, expiation.

پترا patrā पत्र S̱. s. m. An almanack, an ephe- meris, a calendar.
