پتلا putlā S̱. s. m. An idol, image. See پوتلا.

پنج گوشه panj-gosha P adj. Pentangular; a pen- tagon. P.S̱. پنج گونا panj-gonā, adj. Pentangular; a pen- tagon.

پڙا puṛā पुट S̱. s. m. A large parcel (of phy- sick, &c.). See پڙيا puṛiyā.

پتنگ पतंग patang S s. m. 1. A moth. 2. A paper kite. 3. The sun.

پکهال pakhāl S̱. (पयःखल्ल i. e. पयस् Water, and खल्ल Leather) s. f. A large leather bag for holding water, generally carried on bullocks, a water-bag.

پاچهي pāchhai S̄. S̱. پاچهين pāchhaiṅ or pāchheṅ, adv. Behind, after, after- wards, in the absence. See پيچهي.

پروانگي parwāna-gī P (from پروانه) s. f. Command, order, permission.

پهرپڙنا phir paṛnā S̱. v. n. (i. q. ناخوش هونا) To be displeased, indisposed, unpleasant, &c.

پيوڙي peʼoṛī H s. f. A kind of yellow colour (said to be obtained from the urine of a cow, fed on the flowers of Butea frondosa, or, ac- cording to others, on the leaves of the mango tree). S. پيوس पीयूष or पेयूष pīyūs or peyūs, s. m. The milk of a cow for some days after calving, biestings.
