پهنسنا phaṅsnā S̱. (r. पश Bind, restrain) v. n. To be entangled, to stick, to be involved (in ca- lamity, &c.), to be ensnared, noosed or entrap- ped, to be caught. See پهسنا phasnā.

پوا poʼā पोत S̱. s. m. 1. A very young ser- pent. 2. A nursling of any animal. 3. A plant.

پون paun S̱. or pawan (पवन) 1. s. f. Air, wind. 2. pawan, s. m. Regent of the winds and of the N.W. quarter. پون چکي pawan-chakkī, s. f. A windmill. پون کوپوت pawan kau pūt, Son of Pawan, i. e. Hanūmān.

پهوک phok H 1. s. m. Dregs, sediment, grains. 2. adj. Hollow.

پهوٿن phūṭan S̱. (see پهوٿنا) s. f. Wrangling, dis- agreement, misunderstanding.

پهوهڙ phūhaṛ H 1. adj. f. Undisciplined, un- educated; stupid; obscene, foolish, rude (ap- plied to women). 2. s. f. A bad housewife, a slut or slattern. پهوهڙپن يا پنا phūhaṛ-pan or -panā, s. m. Stupidity, &c.

پ प pa S s. m. 1. The wind. 2. Ӕolus the god of the wind. 3. In compos. (r. पा Pre- serve) A nourisher or protector. 4. (r. पा Drink) Drinking, drinker.

پنڐ panḍu पाण्डु S̱. s. m. Name of a sovereign of ancient Delhi, and nominal father of Yu- dhish̤ṭhir and the other four Pānḍava princes.

پينک pīnak S̱. (r. पा Drink: see پينا) s. f. In- toxication and drowsiness from opium.

پهينچ ڐالنا phīnch ḍālnā H v. a. To wash cloth, to rinse, to squeeze.
