پزاوا pazāwā P (from پزانيدن) s. f. A brick-kiln.

پينانا painā-nā H v. a. To sharpen.

پودنا podnā H s. m. The name of a bird. (Sylvia olivacea).

پهيٿنا pheṭnā H v. a. To mix by trituration.

پنچکهنا panch-khanā S̱. (पंच Five, and खंड A part) adj. Consisting of five floors or stories (a house, &c.).

پولا pūlā S̱. (पूल r. पूल Heap together) s. m. A bundle or truss of grass or straw. پولي تلي گذران کرنا pūle tale guẕrān karnā (lit. to live under a bundle of straw) implies a very destitute condi- tion.

پسنديده pasandīda P (from پسنديدن) adj. Chosen, choice, approved of, liked, agreed to.

پلپلانا pulpulānā H v. n. 1. To fear, to dread. 2. To take a morsel into the mouth, and from the want of teeth, being unable to chew, to turn it about.

پتهرانا pathrānā S̱. (from پتهر) v. n. 1. To be petri- fied. 2. To become hard (a bile), to indurate. آنکهـ پتهراني See under آنکهـ.

پيزار paizār P. s. f. A slipper, a shoe. پيزاراپيزاري paizārā-paizārī, s. f. Fighting or mutual beating with slippers. پيزارپٿي ياکاري paizār-paṭṭī or -kārī, Act of beating with slippers. پيزارخور paizār-ḵẖor, adj. Abject, mean, base (q. d. fit or deserving to be beaten with slippers). پيزارسي paizār se, An expression of contempt, signifying it concerns not or affects not me, I care not. پيزارکهانا paizār khānā, To be beaten with slip- pers.
