بنا binā A s. f. Building, foundation. بناکرنا binā karnā, To build.

بمل विमल वि and मल Filth, &c. bimal S. or vi-mal, adj. Clean.

بهجنيک bhajnīk S̱. (भजनिक r. भज Serve, worship) s. m. A singer, an adorer.

بهرپانا bhar pānā S̱. v. a. 1. To be paid, to receive the full amount. 2. (Met.) It is used when a person is disappointed; as, مين ني بهرپايا maiṅ ne bhar pāyā, I am paid.

بهسکنا bhasaknā H v. n. To fall.

بهيٿي bheṭī H s. f. A stalk, stem. See بهيٿو.

برمانا barmānā H v. a. To bore.

بنات النعش banātu-n-naﻌsh A s. m. The constel- lation of the Greater or Lesser Bear, consisting of seven stars; four of which are conceived to bear the resemblance of a bier (نعش), and the remaining three to be the (بنات) daughters pre- ceding it.

بٿوا baṭūʼā S̱. (r. वट Surround, envelope) s. m. 1. A purse, a small bag (generally used for holding betel-nut, &c.). 2. A brass vessel in which Hindūs dress their food.

بيجنتي مالا baijantī-mālā S̱. (वैजयंती see بيجنتي and माला Necklace) s. f. A necklace especially worn by Vish̤ṇu in his several forms, and com- posed of the following jewels, produced from the five elements of nature: namely, the sapphire, from the earth; the pearl, from water; the ruby, from fire; the topaz, from air; and, the dia- mond, from space or ether.
