بدهان विधान bidhān S or vidhān, s. m. Com- mon practice, precept, direction. See بده विधि sign 1. and 2.

بوغرا bog̠ẖrā P s. m. A dish made of boiled meat, flour, &c. بوغرانکلنا bog̠ẖrā nikalnā, To be well beaten.

بڙهوتري baṛhotarī S̱. s. f. (from بڙهنا) Interest, profit, advantage.

بنمال ban-māl S̱. (वन A forest, and माला A garland) s. f. A garland of various flowers reaching to the feet: usually of the flowers of the tulsī (Ocymum sanctum), kunda (Jasminum multiflorum), mandār (Asclepias gigantea), pā- rijāta (Erythrina fulgens), and lotus.

بيان byān S̱. (from بيانا, q. v.) s. m, Birth, act of parturition. چاربيان گائي or چاربيان کي گائي A cow that has calved four times. ايک بيان جامک Having produced two calves at a birth.

بودلي bodlī H 1. adj. f. A simple woman, a trol- lop. 2. s. f. A woman who lives with a be-nawā faḳīr and dresses like a man.

بتاسا bat-āsā S̱. (from वात Air) s. m. A kind of sweetmeat, sugar-cakes (of a spongy texture, or filled with air, as the word implies); a bubble.

بچارنا bichār-nā विचारण S̱. v. a. To consi- der, reflect, think, investigate, comprehend, ap- prehend, conceive, to judge.

باريکي bārīk-ī P s. f. Subtilty, minuteness, fineness, niceness.

برشته birishta P part. pass. (of برشتن) Fried, broiled. S. برشکال वर्षकाल (from वर्ष Rain, and काल Season) barshkāl or varsh̤a-kāla, s. m. The rainy season, the rains.
