بد bud S̱. s. See بده buddhi or budh. S̱. or A. بدا bidā (विदाय or وداع) s. f. Dismis- sion, taking leave, farewell, adieu. بداکرنا bidā karnā, To bid farewell, to dismiss.

بدهوا bidhawā S̱. s. m. The deity. See بدهاتا.

بپهرنا bipharnā S̱. (perhaps from विपरीत) v. n. To be perverse, refractory, disobedient, cross, obstinate, pert.

بتانا batānā H v. a. 1. (perhaps, from वदन Speaking, telling) To point out, to shew, indi- cate, signify, to explain, to teach, to tell. 2. To appear. 3. s. m. An under turband. 4. A small bracelet of metal.

بهانجنا bhānjnā भंजन S̱. v. a. 1. To put into circular motion, to twist, to turn on a lathe, to wave, to brandish. 2. To break, destroy.

بپت bipat S̱. or bipati, (विपत् or विपत्ति) s. f. Adversity, cala- mity, misfortune, distress.

بعث baﻌs̤ A s. m. 1. Excitement, motive, cause. 2. Resurrection. بعث ونشر baﻌs̤o nashr, s. m. The resurrection.

بهاگ جانا bhāg-jānā H v. n. To run away, to flee, to abscond.

بندي bandī P s. f. 1. (in compos.) Binding, tying, stopping, shutting, construction, &c. 2. (from بنده) Female slave or servant. بندي خانه bandī-ḵẖāna, A prison, gaol.

بالاتّفاق bi-l-ittifāḳ A By chance, by or with agree- ment or concord or unanimity or success.
