وقف waḳf : وقف waḳf A s. m. 1. Standing, stopping, under- standing. 2. Tranquillity, firmness, constancy, permanency. 3. A legacy for pious uses, an endowment or dedication or foundation for pub- lick charity. وقف خم چوگان waḳf-i-ḵẖam-i-chaugān, Implies very humbly devoted. وقف کرنا waḳf karnā, To dedicate to pious uses.
