وضيع waẓīﻌ A (from وضع) 1. adj. Ignoble, base, plebeian, low. 2. s. A deposit, a trust, any thing committed to the care of another. شريف و وضيع sharīf-o-waẓīﻌ, Nobles and plebeians.

ويسيا वेश्या vesyā S s. f. A harlot, a prostitute.

وزارت wizārat A (from وزر Heb. ) s. f. 1. The dignity of wazīr. 2. The office of prime minister or grand vizir; ministry.

وهله wahla H s. m. Attack, onset.

وقف waḳf A s. m. 1. Standing, stopping, under- standing. 2. Tranquillity, firmness, constancy, permanency. 3. A legacy for pious uses, an endowment or dedication or foundation for pub- lick charity. وقف خم چوگان waḳf-i-ḵẖam-i-chaugān, Implies very humbly devoted. وقف کرنا waḳf karnā, To dedicate to pious uses.

وکهالنا wukhālnā H v. a. (dakh.) To vomit.

وهان wahāṅ H (from وه That, and Sans. स्थान Place) adv. There, thither, yonder. وهان کا وهان wahāṅ kā wahāṅ, Everywhere.

ويشنو वैष्णव vaish̤ṇav S 1. adj. Relating or be- longing to Vish̤ṇu. 2. s. m. A sectary or fol- lower of Vish̤ṇu.

واراپار wārāpār S̱. (अवारपार) adv. On this side and that, on both sides; through and through, across. s. m. Bounds.

ويراني wairān-ī P or wīrān-ī, s. f. Desolation, de- population, destruction, desert places.
